ED SHEERAN’S ‘SHAPE OF YOU’: MAKING 2017’S BIGGEST TRACK
If you haven’t yet checked this video out, please take a look now. If you have seen it before, please take a look again … it never gets old!
The entire video is completely fascinating, but the one part that really struck me was when Ed was presented with a suitcase full of Lego® to play with.
‘It was great because he (Ed) would sit and build the Lego®, and get lost in it, and then come up with this moment that was everything!’
… Why … what is it about playing with Lego® that helps Ed come up with ‘this moment that was everything’?
Here is our take on it!
Our hands are connected to 70- 80% of our brain cells. Our brains are limited in how much information they can consciously handle at one time. By using both hands, we actively engage both sides of our brains.
With the help of the neural connections in our hands… we actually ‘know’ a lot more at any given moment than we think we do. We literally and figuratively think through our fingers!
I think Carl Jung said it best when he said:
‘The creation of something new is not accomplished by the intellect but, by the play instinct…”
